Hydrangea 'Limelight'

  • Long, strong, straight stems
  • Fast growing, can harvest year after planting
  • Use liners to establish
  • Cold hardy to Zone 3
  • Pinch/prune to increase stem number and decrease head size
  • Can be harvested at three different stages
    – Immature with some green showing
    – Fully mature with all bracts white
    – Past mature with rosy pink bracts
  • “Must have” for any cut woody grower

Amaranthus 'Hot Biscuits'

  • Tall with very large plumes, provide support
  • Pinch plants when young or cut main spike early and use laterals
  • Seed propagated, typically direct seeded
  • Loved by flea beetles
  • Can be used fresh as well as dried
  • Harvest after plumes are well developed but before seed matures
