ASCFG Seed Trialer Evaluation Form

Thank you for participating in the ASCFG National Cut Flower Trials. The information you provide here will be used to help guide the breeding programs of our suppliers and will be published in The Cut Flower Quarterly to help your fellow cut flower growers! The results will also be used to select the nominees for the ASCFG Cut Flowers of the Year.

We hope you will be able to provide results for all of the cultivars you received, even if some did not perform well. However, if one or two got lost in the shuffle, please provide results for those that you have information.

Please submit an evaluation form for each cultivar you trialed. This form may be saved for later using the button at the bottom. Please note, a saved form will expire in 30 days.

  • Approximate number of marketable stems per plant. Exact harvest records are not needed.

  • For example, if you recorded the yield as one number, i.e. 5 marketable stems/plant, type in that number here and skip the next question. If you recorded a range, such as 4 to 8 marketable stems/plant, type in 4 here and type in 8 in the next field.
  • If you entered the first number of a range in the previous question, enter the second number of the range here. For example, if the number of stems/plant ranged from 4 to 8 and you entered 4 for the previous question, enter 8 here. However, if you entered the overall average in the previous question, please skip this question.

  • Approximate stem length in inches. Exact measurements of stems are not needed.

  • For this question, please record either the overall average stem length or the shortest number of the range. For example, if you recorded the stem length as one number, i.e. 28 inches, type in that number here and skip the next question. If you recorded a range, such as 26 to 30 inches, please type in 26 here and type in 30 for the next question. Please do not type in "inches".
  • If you entered the first number of a range in the previous question, enter the second number of the range here. For example, if the stem length ranged from 26 to 30 and you entered 26 for the previous question, enter 30 now. However, if you entered the overall average in the previous question, please skip this question.

  • Market appreciation rating by your customers (1 being useless, 5 being wonderful)

  • 1 being useless, 5 being wonderful

  • Would you grow again rating (1 being never, 5 being definitely)

  • 1 being never, 5 being definitely

  • Ease of cultivation rating (1 being impossible, 5 being easy)

  • 1 being impossible, 5 being easy
