We’re pleased to present this lineup of in-person Farm Tours, generously hosted by your fellow ASCFG members. Considering the variety of cut flower crops, production methods, and marketing and sales systems that will be highlighted on these tours, you’re likely to learn a little bit of everything from the host, and from other attendees.

Registration will open in early 2026!

Farm tours are generously hosted by your fellow ASCFG members and facilitate farmer-to-farmer knowledge sharing.

Red Deer Tulip Farm

Event Overview: Located just southeast of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, the Red Deer Tulip Farm is owned and operated by Jac and Trudie Theelen. Jac and Trudie grow tulip bulbs hydroponically in winter and sell cut tulips from January through Mother’s Day. Join this energetic couple as they share the innovations, hacks, and farm efficiencies they’ve developed over the decades. Lunch will be not provided at the farm but arranged at a local restaurant.

Event Overview: Little State Flower Co. is a five‑acre specialty‑cut flower farm based in Tiverton, Rhode Island, dedicated to sustainable, locally grown blooms tailored for weddings, events and committed floral designers. Owners Anna Jane Kocon and Bradley Fesmire emphasize reducing the environmental footprint of imported flowers by focusing on seasonal New England‑varieties and serving the community with ethical growing practices. Anna Jane will lead attendees through an overview of the growing practices on the farm with Bradley will cover the farm’s infrastructure and maintenance, among other details. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Event Overview: Roots Cut Flower Farm, home of ASCFG Treasurer Michelle Elston, is a sustainable cut-flower farm in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, growing seasonal blooms for bouquets, bulk “party buckets,” and subscription services. They focus on local partnerships, seasonal planning, and educational experiences, combining field production with value-added offerings for both retail and event markets. Roots specializes in the production and sale of hot annuals, and this exciting farm tour will provide a thorough overview of the production systems currently in place at the farm combined with a discussion of the best practices the farm employees employ. Light refreshments will be available. Lunch is not provided.

This exciting farm tour will be followed by a floral design event and is included with the registration fee.

Event Overview: Join a guided farm tour at Charles Little & Company in Eugene, Oregon, where you’ll walk through acres of specialty‑cut flowers, foliage, and ornamental crops grown in rich Willamette Valley soil. Attendees will learn how the farm operates seasonally, with clip‑your‑own (U‑Pick) fields, a flower barn and farm‑stand, and an emphasis on field‑grown, non‑forced blooms. This program will be a full day farm tour, with the morning tour of the fields led by Charles Little and an afternoon tour of the farm infrastructure led by Bethany Little. Lunch will be provided.

Guided by the motto “Principles before Profit,” owners Steve and Mandy O’Shea emphasize organic growing methods, solar-powered operations, and a strong commitment to community and workers, offering fresh blooms and artisan goods through their farm store. During this half day tour, attendees will learn about growing dahlias in the South and will receive a tour of the farm’s operations and sustainability programs. Lunch will not be provided.

Event Overview: Petal Pickers Flower Co., founded in 2017 and based near Greenville/Piedmont, South Carolina, is a vibrant specialty‑cut flower farm that embraces heirloom varieties, fragrance, and seasonal drama. Farm‑owner Daniel Schavey and his team cultivate fields of dahlias, ranunculus, lisianthus, and other expressive stems, with a mission to grow blooms that linger in the vase and tell a story. They supply retail and wholesale florists, offer bouquet subscriptions, and ship fresh seasonal bouquets nationwide. Attendees will tour the farm and learn about the operations in this full day farm tour. Lunch will be provided.
