The ASCFG is pleased to share that the Hudson Valley Farm Crawl will happen on July 13 and 14, 2027, and feature the following four cut flower farms. In addition to the packed schedule of tours, rotated across two groups and four locations, attendees will have the opportunities to connect over a community dinner on Tuesday evening.
Six Dutchess Farm
Step into the world of Six Dutchess Farm, a 12-acre diversified flower and fiber farm in New York’s Hudson Valley where seasonal specialty flowers, Swedish Gotland sheep, honeybees, and regenerative farming practices all work together. What began as a boutique farm has evolved into a vibrant, small-scale agricultural business built around flowers, fiber, food, education, and a deep commitment to partnering with the land.
During this guided tour, participants will explore the farm’s flower fields, growing spaces, and high tunnels while learning how Six Dutchess produces their specialty blooms. Along the way, get a closer look at how flowers fit into a broader diversified farm system, from rotationally grazed Gotland sheep and on-farm fiber production to honeybees and other seasonal crops. Come prepared to ask questions, compare notes, and see firsthand how Six Dutchess has built a distinctive farm business by making the most of a small footprint while keeping sustainability, biodiversity, and connection to the land at the center.
Treadlight Farm
Get an inside look at Treadlight Farm, a certified organic flower and ornamental plant farm in Kerhonkson, New York, where beautiful blooms and ecological stewardship go hand in hand. Since 2015, farmers Matt and Irene have built Treadlight around growing exceptional specialty cut flowers while exploring how native plants can play a larger role in both the flower trade and the landscape.
During this guided tour, participants will explore Treadlight’s production fields and growing spaces and learn how the farm approaches organic flower production, propagation, and crop selection. A particular focus will be Treadlight’s work with native flowers and foliage—including species that are rarely available commercially—and its efforts to identify northeastern native plants with potential as high-value cut flowers.
Participants will also get a closer look at the farm’s approach to growing without synthetic pesticides and preservatives, producing exceptionally fresh flowers for the regional wholesale market, and balancing the practical demands of commercial production with biodiversity and responsible land stewardship. Be ready to explore, ask questions, and discover new possibilities for bringing native plants, organic practices, and distinctive crops into your own flower-farming operation.
Stark Blooms
Step into Stark Blooms for a behind-the-scenes look at a Hudson Valley flower farm where growing, floral design, and creative entrepreneurship come together. Founded in 2018 by Colin Stark, the farm has grown from a small-scale operation into a distinctive Hudson Valley flower business supplying locally grown blooms while also serving weddings, events, workshops, and direct customers. Explore the fields and growing spaces, and discover the specialty crops and seasonal varieties that give the farm its distinctive aesthetic and floral offerings.
Participants will also see the farm’s flower truck and learn how Stark Blooms has expanded beyond the farm through direct sales, events, and national flower shipping. See how crop selection, production, harvesting, design, and marketing work together to create a distinctive and diversified flower-farm business—and leave with fresh ideas for growing and selling unique, high-value crops of your own.
With Stark Blooms serving both local customers and event clients, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at building a flower business that brings together production, direct sales, floral design, education, and the customer experience. Walk the fields, ask questions, and get a close-up look at how Stark Blooms turns a small farm into a creative, customer-focused flower business.
Shoving Leopard Farm
Explore Shoving Leopard Farm, a 2-acre Certified Naturally Grown flower farm overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. At the heart of the farm is its remarkable pick-your-own flower labyrinth, surrounded by permanent beds filled with more than 300 varieties of annuals, biennials, and perennials. Shoving Leopard has been a longstanding member of the Hudson Valley Flower Collective and local farm markets since 2006.
