Specialty Cut Flowers Survey

In cooperation with John Dole of North Carolina State University, the ASCFG is updating Specialty Cut Flowers, written by Allan Armitage and Judy Laushman. For many of the genera covered in the book, there are now dozens, even hundreds, of cultivars available.

To streamline the writing and production process, and perhaps condense the size of the book, we will highlight the most popular cultivars. To do so, we need your help. We hope you will take a few minutes to complete this survey.

For each of the following genera, please enter your favorite one to three cultivars. We are not asking you to indicate every cultivar you grow, just those you would recommend to your fellow cut flower growers. Feel free to skip the species you don’t grow or those that you can’t remember, like the variety you planted five years ago but lost the label.

There are 128 cut flowers included on the following four forms below. Each form includes 32 cultivars.

Thank you for your support.

Achillea – Chaenomeles

Chrysanthemum – Grasses

Gypsophila – Ornithogalum

Oxypetalum – Zinnia
